# Player Profiles & Stats

> Your public profile and competitive record, and how both get used.

Your profile is your public record on the platform. Anyone can open it — opponents checking who they have been drawn against, and organisations looking at players for a roster.

## What your profile shows

**Who you are**

* Player name, picture, frame, banner, and biography
* Social links and linked game accounts

**What you have done**

* **Events** — every event you have taken part in
* **Matches** — every match you have played, with results
* **Achievements** — milestones you have unlocked

Your record fills in on its own as matches are verified. There is no separate stats page to maintain — everything competitive comes from actually playing, and everything cosmetic comes from [Profile Customisations](/players/customisation).

  Linked game accounts are public. Linking an account makes that game ID visible to other players, which is what lets opponents identify you in a lobby.

## Why your record matters

It is not just a scoreboard. Three things read it:

* **Seeding** — ranking and performance history feed automatic seeding, so a stronger record generally means a better bracket position ([more](/events/stages))
* **Recruitment** — organisations and team captains check profiles before inviting players to a roster
* **Opponents** — checking someone's match history before you play them tells you what you are up against

This is why a forfeit costs more than a loss does. A loss is a result; a forfeit is a pattern that anyone considering you for a roster can see.

## Sharing your profile

Use **Copy Profile Link** on your profile to get a direct link. Teams and organisations recruiting will usually ask for this rather than a player name.

## Finding other players

Open a player's name from anywhere it appears — a match page, a bracket, a leaderboard, or a team roster.

## Privacy

You control your picture, banner, biography, and social links, and can change or remove them at any time from **Profile → Customise**.

Your competitive record is not editable. Events entered, matches played, and results stand as they happened, since seeding and recruitment both depend on it meaning something.
