# Organisations Overview

> Manage multi-team organisations with roles, permissions, and finance.

An organisation sits above teams. Where a team is a single roster, an organisation holds several teams under one identity with shared oversight, permissions, and finances — the structure an esports org or a club actually needs.

## How it works

* **Teams at scale** — create and manage multiple teams and their members from one place
* **Roles and permissions** — assign who can manage rosters, who can move money, and who can only view ([more](/organisations/roles))
* **Finance** — an organisation-level wallet with visibility over prize allocations and payouts across its teams ([more](/organisations/finance))
* **Activity logs** — a record of significant changes, so responsibility is traceable

## Organisation or team?

Use a **team** if you have one roster competing. Use an **organisation** if you have several rosters, want finances handled centrally, or need to separate who runs the rosters from who controls the money.
