# Shop

> Spend virtual currency on profile cosmetics and raffle tickets.

The shop sells cosmetic items and raffle tickets for {currencyName}, the platform's virtual currency.

## Earning {currencyName}

You earn {currencyName} by playing and winning events. Competing is the only route to them — the more you enter and the better you place, the more you accumulate.

  {currencyName} are separate from prize money. Prize money sits in your [wallet](/finance/wallets) and can be withdrawn; {currencyName} are spent inside the platform and cannot.

## Categories

| Category            | What it is                                                |
| ------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Profile Banners** | The wide image across the top of your profile page        |
| **Profile Frames**  | The border drawn around your profile picture              |
| **Raffle Tickets**  | Entries into the current [prize draw](/engagement/raffle) |

Banners and frames are cosmetic only — they change how your profile looks and nothing else. See [Profile Customisations](/players/customisation) for how to apply them once bought.

## Availability

* Some items are permanently stocked
* Some are limited-time and rotate out
* Some are restricted to [Premium](/engagement/premium) subscribers
* Some cosmetics are never sold at all — they come only from [giveaways](/engagement/overview#giveaways) or specific events

## Player How-To

* Open **Shop** and pick a category
* Check the price against your {currencyName} balance
* Purchase, then apply cosmetics from **Profile → Customise** ([more](/players/customisation))

## Admin Capabilities

* Create shop items and set prices
* Configure item images and descriptions
* Set availability windows and subscriber restrictions
